About me:
Piotr Cykowski, activist, NGO-expert, human rights defender, beginner in anti-discrimination trainer.

I work for human rights since 1999, when I joyed Amnesty International local group in Warsaw, then I begun my interest and work on in situation in China an Tibet.

I have graduated fro Warsaw University, Inter-department Environmental Protection Studies, fulfilling my master thesis about development-environment relations in Institute of Global and Regional Studies on(2007), after that I finished post-graduated "Human Rights and Freedoms" studies by Helsinki Foundation and Institute of Low Science at the Polish Academy of Science (2009, sixth years earlier I finished human rights' workshop for students course in Helsinki Foundation), in 2011 I  have graduated from School of Leaders of Polish-American Freedom Foundation.

In 2002 - 2007 I was a Board Member of the Polish-Tibetan Friendship Association, 2007 - 2011 member of Steering Committee of the International Tibet Network. I have created first activism-oriented website (www.ratujTybet.org) on Tibet in 2002 that was for years mayor source of inspiration for Tibet-related actions in Poland. In 2013 I was funding member of Students for a Free Tibet Poland - national branch of global network of Tibet activists.

In 2006 with my friends I've meet in Amnesty, we have created The Other Space Foundation (Fundacja Inna Przestrzeń) that begun my main place of work and activism on various fields and projects. Since begging I was member of the Board as well Tibetan Programme coordinator. Also I was working on human rights and global education projects.

In 2010 together with Dariusz Paczkowski and his wife, we have created Klamra Foundation (Fundacja Klamra). Our common mission was connecting activities and ideas and very soon we started our work on non-discrimination as well as on social integration projects in Żywiec city.

In 2012 I have graduated from School for Trainers TROP. It was groundbreaking experience that I still keep in mind and change my focus on education activities. In this same year I joined to the Anti-discrimination Education Association that is established by professionals on formal and non-formal educators doing fantastic work to improve Polish system of education toward more equal and inclusive.

In 2013 I worked on launching Foundation for Intercultural Center in Warsaw, that was created by 10 Polish NGO's working on inter-cultural relations in Warsaw and I was elected as a member of its first Board. Also in 2013 I finished Applied Drama Course in Association of Drama Practitioners Stop-Klatka in Warsaw and started work with the Association in project based on Augusto Boal's  Forum Theater methodology and thanks to that experiences we are developing our own forum spectacle.

In 2013 I created "Phan Bde" Foundation as a platform for some new activities.

I am supporter of LGBT movement for equality - member of the Campaign Against Homophobia.
